Robin van Rhijn

Robin van Rhijn is the founder of Muziekschool Robin and an experienced drummer, educator, and musical entrepreneur. With a background in jazz, soul, and world music, he has developed a versatile playing style that blends groove, musicality, and a strong sense of expression.

Robin has been teaching for many years and has built his school into a growing community of musicians in both Amsterdam and Utrecht. His approach to teaching focuses on making music accessible and inspiring, while maintaining a high level of quality and personal attention for each student.

In his lessons, Robin combines technical development with creativity and musical awareness. He encourages students to find their own voice on the instrument, while building a solid foundation in timing, coordination, and sound. His teaching style is practical, motivating, and tailored to the individual needs and goals of each student.

Alongside running the school, Robin is active as a performing musician, playing in various projects across different genres. His experience on stage and in the studio informs his teaching and allows him to offer students real-world musical insight.

Robin teaches on Mondays and Tuesdays.
